Liquid Cooling System is used to cool down the components of the industrial equipments. In these types of systems liquid is used for heat removal often water is used. The liquid cooling is commonely used in automobile engines, Power plants, Computers, Chemical and Petroleum plants etc. It is also used in those plants where heat exchange takes place. Heat transfer is the basic mechanism used in the process of liquid cooling. In open method the tap water is used for cooling purpose. There are minerals presnt in the tap water which can cause blocking of pumps or pipes. So it is efficient to use distilled water as a replacement of tap water. In closed methods chemical coolants are used or these coolants can be used in association with sea water. For enhance the effectivness of coolant the surface tension has to be removed. There are some other chemical additives which can deccrease the surface tension to make the coolant more efficient in automotive coolant systems. Industrial water which has high grade or potable water is ofetn used in the indusries which has high sensivity and need pure water.
The Liquid cooling systems in the computers generally have two moving parts both are the fans. The first fan impeller which works to circulate liquid to the systems there is less noise as liquid is like noise insulator. The other fan acts the exterior of case which helps pull the air over coolong tubes. The fans run on a medium speed which decreases noise of the system.

Advantage of Using Liquid Cooling Systems:
a) In computers this type of cooling is very efficient as the heat removal increases clockspeed of processor under the temprature mentioned by manufacturer.
b) Use of liquid coolants also reduces noise in the computer as compared to the air cooling system.
c) Water has high specific heat capacity, Density and heat conductivity than air so it can transfer heat over a very large distance.
d) Liquid cooling in engines takes the mechanical noise of the engines to a very low level.
e) There are some liquid cooling system which have purifier in them so you can easily use tap water which will be purified and it will increase the efficiency.
Disvantages of Liquid Cooling Systems:
a) The main disavantage of these systems is its size needed for applying the kit into a computer system.
b) Another disadvantage of liquid cooling systems is that this is very new technology so it requires a high level of skills and knowledge for installing it.
c) These systems are expensive than air cooling systems as to perform better it requires distilled water which has high cost so it will increase the cost of the whole system.
Liquid Cooling Systems are much efficient than air cooling systems. These systems provide less noise as compared to the air cooling systems. So although the cost is higher the performance what matters in the end so you can use the liquid cooling systems to enhance your equipments performance.
